What is Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, which is effective in the treatment of opioid use disorders (OUD) and can help some people to sustain recovery. MAT is one of the most effective forms of therapy for substance use disorders but is widely misunderstood. Take a look at our short video guides below to learn more.

CLARE | MATRIX is a welcoming and supportive place where you'll find a full range of treatment methods to help you overcome addiction to drugs or alcohol, and the behavioral health challenges that often accompany them. Learn more about their treatment options.

Our Mission

We have a responsibility as family members, friends, employers, colleagues, physicians, educators, religious leaders and neighbors—to reach out to help those suffering with this disease and lead them back to substance abuse-free lives. The earlier we reach them, the greater our likelihood of success.
